FRAMES
OF NATURE
These two performances stages different emotions related to nature. We can
experience nature as being peaceful and friendly and as a force outside human
control.
CONCEPT AND MATERIALS
In both sceneries, the human body represents limitation and structure, in
contrast to nature, which is seen as eternal/endless and chaotic. Materials
are fabric, wood and moss.
MANUSCRIPT
Both performances are made as a ritual. After the ritual all clothes that
were worn during the walk were used as material. The ritual walking was made
in landscapes shifting from one character to another. In first performance,
the shore is shifting to ocean, and in second the dunes become meadow and
forest.
